My dad would probably consider himself a bit of a foodie. He loves a good meal and has taught us all to enjoy fine dinning. A few years ago we started a bit of a tradition where we kids will make a nice gourmet meal for dad at home. So he has the meal of a fine dinning restaurant (ok maybe not that good – but good) in the luxury of his own home. Meaning he is in the pool until 5 min before we eat.
My sister inherited my dad’s cooking gene and was our lead chef until she decided to move to Chicago. Last year Natalie took the reins but we had Brian to help with the grill. Now that Brian is a dad it was pretty much up to Natalie and I to do most of the work – my moms helps too.
We did pretty well I think. We had steak, twice baked potatoes, a grilled squash zucchini medley and best of all chocolate cake! It was a pretty yummy meal.
Here is a photo of my dad making the most of this father’s day – sleeping in the recliner with golf on – what better way to spend the day?

Happy father’s day daddy!

That’s cute that the real Brian Luckett already has a nickname. Although Paw Paw makes him sound old and I’m guessing he was really tired b/c he looks much better on facebook.
i was hoping for food pictures.
you got your food picture on the annex
It was the greatest!!! BTW, still waiting to hear about 4 wheeler crashes….
There wasn’t an actual crash. Josh started to roll to the side but he luckilly ran into a cow and it tipped him back upright. Both Josh and the cow survived, crisis averted!
