I invited some of my girlfriends out to Salado to spend a weekend relaxing in the country and riding some 4 wheelers. I made sure to inform both Chris and Josh prior to this engagement so that they would be aware of what was going on. Well I let the girls wear bandanas, which I knew that Josh and Chris would be pissed about it but was just hoping they might not notice. This was totally the boy’s idea that was stolen by me – 100%. I got the very saddest IM from Josh today telling me that he and Chris were sad I did that. So sorry boys!
According to Josh these are the rules I must follow:
“we just need to know that these friends of yours are super special… and they understand that wearing the bandana is not some super cool thing that a couple of hot guys on 4wheelers invented… but it is a symbol of friendship and awesomenss”
They are worthy – they all appreciate the importance of the 4 wheeler and are great wonderful friends of mine. We have started a tradition by taking this trip and it felt like the bandanas were right.
The bandanas will always belong to you guys! I will never let another group wear them without first seeking your approval. Thank you for caring so much…..
First, I wasn’t aware of a 4 wheeling girls trip but I’m going to let that slide. Second, it sounds like you are truely sorry for your deeds and for that, all is forgiven. However, Josh and I are working on a list of rules that are to be followed. Stay tuned…
#1. The prefered style is of the headband style, not the “Aunt Jamima.”
#2. Bandanas do NOT need to match the rest of your ensemble.
#3. If a bandana touches the ground due to a 4 wheeling crash, said bandana is to be given a proper burial.
OK, I get it…..this is where I am supposed to post questions regarding 4 wheeler crashes….correct?
#5. One shall not wear the bandana bank-robber style (aka Salado Bandito Style) unless they are a founding-father or suffering a kidney stone affliction.
#4. Bandanas are not to be washed during a single 4 wheeling trip.
During visits to Little Mexico, one member of the party must wear a bandana. It is also customary for this individual to buy sopapillas.
#7. All objections about said rules must be brought forth to the founding fathers and they will make a ruling.
#7 addendum). Bribing and special favors are happily accepted
#8. If one or both of the founding fathers are not in attendance, a commemorative bandana must be displayed on property. A photo of said bandana must be posted on a popular social networking website. Commemorative bandana must NEVER be worn by an animal (except hawks and unicorns).
There have been 4 wheeler crashes????? Details please….
Daddy – there have been no 4 wheel crashes as of yet – I believe this rule is in the case of a crash. We wont let that happen though right. We are all responsible adults…..
